Species Guide: Perennials

Perennials have stems that are soft or succulent and green, as opposed to brown and woody. Generally soft green growth will die back to the ground in the cold winter months. The roots of the perennial plant are alive and well and new growth will emerge in the spring to give a display of colour throughout the summer and early autumn.

At Plugplants4U our perennials are 100% English grown and have been chosen for their garden performance and reliability. We grow perennial plants to suit all locations in the garden, many making wonderful additions to your outside space in patio containers and garden borders.

We are passionate about perennials and know you’ll enjoy working with perennials as they are easy to grow and will be colourful in the garden for years to come. perennials come in all sizes - right from the low growing Ajuga and Veronica - up through to stunning Delphiniums and Lupins.

Each year Plugplants4U grows in excess of 60,000 hardy perennials that are supplied throughout the UK as jumbo plug plants measuring approximately 5cm diameter around the rootball and 6-10cm in height. Also check out our collection of garden shrubs
